Shannon attended her first birthday party celebration of her friend, Aiden kor kor on 28-July-12...Happy birthday to Aiden !! And to Aiden's mum and dad, congratulations, Aiden is one year old ! You should be very proud of yourself. (Thumbs up!) Shannon was putting on a sulky face on that day.. Should be "stranger anxiety".. luckily she did not cry, just reluctant to smile... acting "cool".........hmm..........that's our girl. Too young to appreciate and enjoy herself in a birthday party... haha..

Managed to catch up with Shannon's cousin (Jing Xuan jie jie), Shu Shu (Uncle Poh), Shen Shen (Aunty Teh) during the JB visit on 28-Jul. Some cute little pics of Shannon and Jing Xuan. You may need to view this in sequence, to capture those cute little facial expression of the two little cuties..haha

A quick update in Shannon's gross motor development:
It's August now..and our Shannon is at her 8th month now. She is learning four point kneeling, which later on when she is strong in this skill, she could then crawl ! Can't wait to blog when Shannon can crawl.. :) Shannon in her 8th month progress - she is able to sit without support very well. 45 minutes sitting without support, is something which she is able to achieve. But of course we need to keep her entertained. Few top tips to keep her entertain when she is sitting without support:
1) Singing - She is very blessed to have 2 great singers at home - Her Papa and Mama !
2) Eating (let her sit when it is her meal time - this could at least last for 20 ~ 30 mins)
3) Playing "Dancing Queen" with her - self-invented new game, which Shannon actually likes to play. We'll clap 3 times, offer our hands to her and ask "Shannon, you want to dance?" She will then lift up her small hands and put on to our big hands, and off you go singing "Dancing Queen.... Young and sweet only seventeen ! la la la....." She loves this game. We can repeat this a few times, till she get bored, and will shout for change!
4) Flash cards - her all time favourite since she is 3 months old
5) Toys - her least favourite of all. Not sure why. We bought all kinds of toys, but she just doesn't seem to be interested in toys..
